We envision a world where psychodynamic and psychoanalytic counselling is accessible to everyone. By hiring our spaces, you’re helping us make this a reality.

Based in Highbury (Finsbury Park), our doors are open to everyone across London. We believe that counselling should not be a luxury or exclusive, and we aim to make therapy affordable for everyone, irrespective of ability to pay. We operate a sliding scale, with fees starting from a minimum of £20 per session.

Hiring our spaces ensures the long-term sustainability of this service, allowing us to continue to offer accessible counselling to as many people in London as possible. We don’t use the profits from hiring our rooms for commercial gain. Instead, every pound is directed back into the local community, helping us expand our mental health support across London.

At Highbury Counselling Centre, we’re passionate about making mental health support accessible for all. We’re determined to continue to provide high-quality, low-cost and long-term counselling irrespective of ability to pay, and for as long as people need it.

We have a wide range of therapeutic rooms and workspace available to counsellors and psychotherapists, community groups and organisations providing vital services.

Strides Highbury Counselling Centre – At A Glance

Training Room

  • Location: Top Floor
  • Capacity: 30 people standing, 25 seats
  • Suitable for: clinical seminars, meetings, group training and workshops.

Multi-purpose room

  • Location: Ground floor, accessible with accessible toilet and kitchenette
  • Capacity: 30 people standing, 25 seats
  • Suitable for: psychotherapy groups, art therapy, play therapy, dance movement therapy

Room 6

  • Capacity: Up to 6 seats
  • Suitable for a wide range of psychotherapeutic and counselling work with individuals, couples, families and children. This room can also be used as an office.

Room 8

  • Capacity: Up to 12 seats
  • Suitable for a wide range of psychotherapeutic and counselling work with individuals, couples, families and children. This room can also be used as an office.

All our rooms provide a safe and confidential space for a range of therapeutic and community purposes, and all have:

  • Intercom entry system
  • Access to kitchenette and beverage-making facility
  • Flipchart
  • Tables and chairs as requested
  • Flipchart at request
